The Galleries of Justice Museum is a museum of Crime and Punishment, you are invited to take part in various tours such as the Villainous Sheriff of Nottingham Tour - Join in our entertaining tour where our Villainous Sheriff of Nottingham leads you into the old courthouse and gaol, hear about the murderer's, highway men and rebel rousers. Walk where previous prisoners have walked before in our genuine cells, exercise yard, criminal court and more. View our Sheriff's dungeon, a genuine oubliette where according to folk law Robin Hood resided for a time. But beware the Villainous Sheriff may just put you on trial! This tour also includes access to the 'National HM prison service' permanent exhibition and various exhibitions such as criminal curiosities, Robin Hood, Convict Ship, and more. More than just a museum, we have a full calendar of events and we also offer educational programmes to match the curriculum. We hold fantastic evening events such as medieval banquets, murder mystery dinners, ghost tours, terror tours, elegant tailor made events for that special occasion and much more.
